This Uganda gorilla tour and Queen Elizabeth N.P. (National Park) offers a chance to visit mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest or Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. The natural area in the Albertine Rift Valley offers ethical wildlife viewing experience. Essentially, visitors are allowed to spend 1 hour with a single gorilla family. However, gorilla habituation offers up to four hours to spend with primates.

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park has 4 gorilla sectors. They include Buhoma (park headquarters) at low-altitude 1100m (less strenuous treks) but has less budget accommodation. The others are Rushaga (with a variety of lodges), Ruhija and Nkuringo. These lie above 2000 meters above sea level and offer a variety of accommodation especially Rushaga. The gorilla permit cost is $700 for trekking and $1500 for habituation.
For a short game drive safari, our second destination is Queen Elizabeth National Park. Meanwhile, the park is 162 sq.km (3-hour drive) to or from Bwindi. The park has two sectors namely; Ishasha wilderness offers a chance to spot the Tree Climbing Lions of East Africa. The Kaseny Plains in the north includes Kazinga Channel which connects Lake George and Lake Edward. Here you can do boat cruise on Kazinga channel, go Lion tracking (guarantee to see lions) or game drive safari.

Day 1: Entebbe / Kampala capital city to Bwindi
Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is 512 sq.km (8-hour drive) south-west of Kampala capital city/ Entebbe airport. Our safari guide will be with you full-time. The journey from central to south western region will be long. However, it includes stopovers at equator for photo shoot and lunch en-route at Igongo Cultural Center in Mbarara city. In the evening, you can relax and go to bed early. Because, you shall wake up early the next day. Prepare your trekking gears including insect repellant, rain jacket and charge your photography devices. Good rest with dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking and Village Walk
Essential items to have on this day include packed lunch and drinking water. You will attend briefing on gorilla rules. Which gives you a hint on the gorilla group composition and how long it may take to see them. When you know the length of your trek, you should decide to get a porter to assist you. Above all, you’re guaranteed to see gorillas for 1 hour, no matter how difficult it may. A gorilla trekking certificate from Uganda Wildlife Authority will be awarded at the end of the trek. Congrats.
Get a good rest for lunch. In the evening if you can go for a cultural tour. For instance, you may like to take a village walk, visit a local art and craft shop.
Day 3: Back to Kampala or Entebbe
